Awkward...

Yeah, Im sure you have heard there was yet ANOTHER fire at the park a few days ago. A wooden fence connecting two buildings caught fire.

A wooden fence.

Seriously.

So, thats not the important part of this story.

Seems that there were some arrests made in the park. 3 people were caught by the property owner himself, and charged with various felonies.

Again, it's happened before already, so whats with the update?

Seems that one or all of the people detained were former employees of the park owner (unclear if they were former park employees, or employees of the company that the owners currently run) who were also caught stealing items from the park.

Definitely an awkward situation.

*face palm*

Seriously people. There isn't that much left to see anymore. Its truly not worth the hassles of being arrested.

I think they should try to open it again, El Paso needs more entertainment than clubs and bars (if you know what I mean). I leave in Horizon near the park and I would love to have our own litte mini Disneyland or a mini Six Flags. Ever since westerplayland was moved to the westside it hasent been the same. EL PASO NEEDS MORE FAMILY orientent places to hang out on a sunday afternoon, that only having to go to the park or the movies.

Every time I drive down Gateway East, and I see Magic Landing, I always remember the fun times I had. It was a great place for kids and families. Actually, it was a great place for everyone. The City of El Paso needs a place like Magic Landing again. It would be greatly appreciated if someone were to open another park.
